Event overview

Tailored for practitioners that provide maternity care to families within Logan, Beaudesert, and Redland catchments, the education day will have presentations from Obstetricians, Obstetric Medicine Specialists, a Paediatrician, our Lactation Consultant and Midwives.

The event will focus on:

  • Prenatal Consultations - essential components
  • Reproductive genetic carrier screening
  • Expanding care of mothers and babies with complexities (MFM)
  • Maternal Postnatal care
  • Breastfeeding
  • Neonatal Care.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

Note: This is a self-reported for educational activity, review performance and CPD points (hours of each to be discussed on the day). Although this session is open to all practitioners who care for Maternity patients, the AM2 education day will NOT allow you to be aligned with Metro South for GP Shared Care. You must still have completed an AM1 program in the last six years.
