ABI SCI Connect is driving the implementation of the short-term actions of the statewide adult brain injury rehabilitation and adult spinal cord injury health service plans 2016-2026, in collaboration with Queensland Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).
The project is statewide (funded by Queensland Health) and proudly hosted by Metro South Health.
Our vision: excellence and integration in brain and spinal cord injury service.
Our mission: to build a capable, outcome-focused and networked service system that promotes the best possible recovery and life for people with brain and spinal cord injury.
The project steering committee provides strategic advice, high-level decision making and direction in line with the service directions outlined in the statewide (ABI) and spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation health service plans.
The acquired brain injury clinical advisory network (ABI-CAN) and the spinal cord injury clinical advisory network (SCI-CAN) provide high-level clinical advice, expertise and leadership to guide the implementation of the actions from the statewide plans.
Clinical advisory network members act as ABI SCI Connect champions by providing communication and leadership skills and fostering engagement within and outside their local work area.
