The Women and Birthing Unit is closed to visitors everyday between 2 pm to 4 pm so mothers and their babies can rest.

Redland Hospital is expanding
We're expanding Redland Hospital by adding more beds, a new intensive care unit, more mental health services and more parking.
Since 2020, we've upgraded our birthing suites, emergency department, and opened a multi-level car park.
We plan to open all new services and facilities by 2027.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane’s southern bayside suburbs. We employ over 1,300 staff and have close links with local GPs, health services and the community.
